The mission of PETS in Action is to improve the quality of life
  of disadvantaged persons in rural North Georgia through the   use of Animal Assisted Therapy.

  PETS in Action is a service project of NGCSU's School of
  Science & Health Professions. It is non-profit 501(c)(3)
  status under the North Georgia College & State University
  Foundation.
 
  PETS is designed to educate citizens, students and pets to   perform animal assisted therapy in both an educational &   volunteer capacity.

  Therapy Dogs Incorporated (TDInc.) is the primary evaluating
  and insuring organization for PETS in Action teams.

  Tax deductible Donations can be made to support this
  mission via Gift cards.
